Hey guys, New guy here! Just starting my first build- I came from the land of motorized bikes and wanted to do an electric bike instead..

Anyways, so my end goal is to have fun. I bought a cheapo motor off of eBay, seems they are of decent quality. Its going on my old Trek 7100.

The kit I purchased came with a 48V controller, as to use with the kit. It has the 9 pin set up, and a bunch of easy plug and play sort of connections. Now I only have a 72V battery, which I planned to overvolt this system anyways (if the motor goes, its for fun anyways! I want to see how overvolting works!!) however my problem are those connectors. I do have a 72V controller with the standard wires you usually see hanging from any universal controller. Does anyone know how these would go together? Meaning how I can swap out the ebikeling controller with my 72v controller? I'm not afraid to splice and soldier.. I just am not sure where to begin as the entire kit seems to have these pin connectors. Perhaps is there a way to cut the connectors from the ebikling controller and slap them onto the universal one? Sorry again I am new to this.
