Erase 36v/48v controller memory?

Hi guys
So i got this 36v/48v kt controller hooked to a 500w bafang 48v hub.
When i run it at 48v its great.
But it stalls at 36v after a quarter turn.
My bms is rated for it, and i tried multiple batteries. It seems like the controller is thinking its a fully charged 36v and a real low 48v at the same time.
If you have a fix please let me know!

Typically a 48v controller has a 40v (+/-1v) low voltage cut off. Were the other batteries also 48v and fully charged?

Discharge the 36v battery until it’s below the 48v lvc (down closer to 36v) then connect it to the controller. It has no way of knowing it’s not a 48v battery if it’s within the operating range of a 48v battery.

I sometimes see that on a dual voltage KT controller if I switch immediately from 48V to 36V. If I pull the 48V battery and turn the controller on, it discharges the input capacitors to zero. Then I can migrate to 36V,

Yeah almost fully charged.

Ok im gonna try the cap discharge method first.

Tried the cap method. Also shorting them at the plug. But no avail.
Now it in the tester. Hopefully this goes

Id did work wioth a low charge. Hopefully permanently!
Well see what it does fully charged.
