Respect the battery and you'll be fine. Keep it balanced, inspect it often, never overcharge/discharge and you won't have issues. If you don't want to do all that then go with a different battery. All the lipo fire videos show people overcharging, puncturing etc.
 
Not to mention shorting them. But shorts can cause fires with any chemistry of battery.

The thing is, bikes crash, get tipped over, batteries rub on the box, get dropped, etc. It's just not always easy to respect them as they need. So for some, it's just safer to use a pouch cell that doesn't get so touchy about a punctured cell. Or a metal canned round cell.
