My ebike quit working (it's a mid-drive kit that I put together). My first thought was that it was a bad controller, so I bought a new one, but that did not fix it.
I bought an ebike tester. Image is below. I have connected the the testers lines (controller hall signal and controller main wire) to my controller. Turned on the tester, and nothing happens. I also connected my throttle to the "steer test", that seems to work (light turns on and changes color as I change throttle)
I am just trying to test the controller. Do I need to connect the motor to test the controller? I have 2-3 controllers, and neither one of them are indicating anything on the tester. I also put pictures of the whole setup below.
