Hub motors that can take a tire directly?

I've wondered about this many times, but only now did it occur to me to ask this community: Are there any hub motors of such a diameter that a tire can be mounted directly on the spoke flanges?

Common bead seat diameters are 203, 254, 305, 349, and 355 mm. For a tire to be mounted on the spoke flanges of a hub, the outside diameter of the flanges would have to be about 10-12 mm larger than the bead seat diameter (but not much more than that).

Such an arrangement probably wouldn't work for a practical bike, but it could be used on a kick scooter, a pusher trailer, a powered wheelchair, or any number of other things.

Yes, I understand that the inflation valve would have to be unconventional. I was thinking maybe install a reinforcement and a grommet in the tire sidewall.

Has anybody tried it? Does anybody know of available hubs with outside flange diameters in the 213mm, 264mm, or 315mm range?

This is one wild hair of an idea. I like it, even as nutty as it sounds.
And I would expect nothing less from a resident of Austin.

Oh, hello there BTW. I see your cat is looking fabulous today.
