Issues with an ebay kit please help

That's kind of funny since xcceries is just the ebay seller from yescomusa.com. And there have been many kits bought from them without any major problems I've heard about. I've bought 3 myself. If the phase wires were the problem, I'm thinking you probably screwed them up yourself by dropping the wheel on the wired side or powering the wheel while it wasn't mounted.
