Jonboy's Raptor 140

Still not set the controller up but had a max of about 3.8kw on long climbs and the cro was stone cold.

I'll take a better pic.. back wheel looks bigger than the front in this..

I let some air out of the shinko and the bike griped great. The Cro does seem to hammer my 15000 capacity in comparison to the 3525, saying that tho you just can't help sitting back and letting it do all the work

Bultacos, had a 1975 250 in 1978,wow those were the days of roger decoster! its like a silent rocketship to a youngin :D .

Farther's day has come a few days early at my house!!

Time to double my Raptor's battery capacity and in steps the MAX-E !

Now the fun starts... I'll probably be living on the Adaptto Onwner's thread for the foreseeable future trying to get it all to work properly :?

Thinking of rigging it all up on a kind of mule system, away from the bike then simply disconnecting the cro from my existing setup and plugging in the new to setup the motor / charging parameters. This way I figure I wont get any down time if I can't crack it straight off, I could just plug back into my lyen setup and go ride....

Can't wait to get it going 8) Perfect timing to as I'll have a bit of time in the evening as I've just finished my breaking bad box set  !!

Well I'm very shortly entering the Adaptto Max E world!!! To be honest I'm a little apprehensive about switching it on and having to set it up :? Hence the fully loaded grub try LOL. I'll just lift the bike up n plug the cro in and have a play I guess... then come back here and bother you lot with a load of Qs

At Last!
I have my Raptor up & running with the multistars & the Max E.. I can't praise the setup enough! in normal mode I got it set at about 80 bat amps that just touches 50 mph, touching 60 on boost with no ovs yet. throttle control even though doesn't feel as gutsy as my lyens, it's super precise but once it's rolling it's quicker accelerating.

I have only one niggle now.. There is an ever so slight amount of motor braking as I apply the throttle again when coasting. Just like a tiny bit of braking then the power comes in as you twist the throttle, regen is off at the moment btw.

Any thoughts from the Max e gurus ?

Update to my rappy 140 thread... I got another! my lads out grown his oset, got £1750 for it, so a frame kit & suspension from zeva it was for xmas!

I copied the spec of my bike from a year ago because it works well so why change :?:

Got my old 26 inch wheels & ht3525 on it at the mo just to get going.. Rides

After about 2500 miles ish of off road hell.. with dirt bikes/trials/enduro (petrol/gas).. "OPENED A FEW EYES BTW" .. mud shit flying everywhere on mine i'm wondering which motor to go go for!

My buddy Brumbrum has a NYX with a cro in the rear @17.. not had a chance to have a go yet, but at the moment I'm sticking with what andrew has.. can't be bothered faffing with a mxus, cro i think in a 17, the one i have has been faultless!

Party on

Wheey haaaay ! Not bad, not bad. I can't wait to get these bikes on the hills for some fun.

17" moto rim all the way!

The new bike looks sweet. Tell your son all it needs now are some carbon fibre stickers to make it look like an NYX

thought i'd put a pic up of my lads bike in it's latest carnation.. all cromotor n 17" rimed up!

Adaptto & Cro setup went the same as my bike.. all good & by the book thankfully :|

Only prob now is the spanking new cro seems to have a small amount of bearing play on the disc side!! Everything is done up tight so it can only be a bearing i think, bloody ebikes!!

did you have a cro v4?
i had the same problem. the axle from this zelena guys is on one side to small. the bearing has play.

Ive just had it so I assume its the latest. I've had it apart and applied bearing glue (locktite/ granville) it apears to be ok. I ride heavy off road & this is my lads bike who will hit anything he can so we'll see how the fix lasts. Nott a very good design...

Pic of hub it replaces
