I monitor tempter, humidity and barometric pressure. The news stations and city water system that report rain fall are so far off that I need to upgrade and monitor rain fall and wind. I have a rain gauge but to lazy to dump and track rain fall. Better to have a machine do it.
Our tempter is averaging 20 deg below average and we have hit our yearly rain fall for the year 17". This is one crazy year. Last month we were under water restrictions and in a drought. Now we are flooding.

I had a few days of hot weather, then the fog returned. They call the Golden Gate Bridge the world's largest air conditioner. Actually so cold I have to wear a jacket all day in SF. San Antonio, TX. Below average tempters for Aug and above average rain fall. It was 96 deg F today and only one 100 deg day this year. That was back in March or April. Few years ago We were getting up to 50 100 deg days a year.
The weather man always talks about average rain fall in San Antonio is 34" a year. This did not sound right to me so I did a last ten year average and it was 17". We have had 37" of rain this year. So far!
