I have a 18 x 4115 MOSFET 84-132V Real Highway Speed Controller and I am going to use it with a lithium 88.8V 50A rate battery. This controller's information reads that 45A is the current rate (for higher current, you may need to beef up the trace, shunt, and reprogram it via the software.) Would it be ok if I use this 88v battery with a 50A discharge? I going to run this set-up on a Hubzilla laced into a 16" Excel rim. I would figure that 50a is only 5a more of a discharge of the current rate but...I want to be safe...If it would be better to beef up controller, I might as well. Been planning this bike build since 2012. Can't half-ass the final stages of my engineering phase...I would appreciate positive feedback from my fellow electric bike builders!
