Dear all,

I emailed scorpionsystems to ask whether they also sell their Scorpion HK-7050 motor equipped with hall sensors (and different windings). The answer was yes :) more specifically:

Yes, you can provide what kind or specific model of hall sensors, and we can install in.

now i need advice on which to use so that I can then use a kelly BLDC motor controller to control the motor. Any advice highly welcome ;)

rgrds,

nobody has any advice on which hall sensors are best suitable for my project?

I have always used Honeywell SS41 sensors on hub motors, I know nothing about RC motors, but the highly respected Jeremy Harris says he used SS41A sensors on his RC motors,

I've now fitted Halls to three motors, including one that I rewound with thicker wire. I chose to fit the Halls inside, in the slots, because is is pretty simple and leaves the outside of the motor looking like a stock motor, with just an extra five wires coming out of it.

The sensors I used were Honeywell SS411A latching sensors, http://sensing.honeywell.com/index.cfm? ... _id=149893

you guys are getting two different products mixed up. Use ss411A's (two ones!) if you are concerned about temperature related failure. Other than that standard ss41's (a single one) are fine and much cheaper.

thanks for your help!

Is this the sensors that you mentioned:

if so, they are cheap enough not to consider the standard... Thanks again
