Trump to Defund Social Security

This quote comes from AARP. You know the 'protector' of us old folks and you Trump supporters that will need Social Security soon enough.....but wait, your highness, lord and master has seen fit to defund ...your portion'. Oh well, you trust him right?

This raises serious questions about the future of the program. President Trump already signed an executive order designed to suspend payroll taxes through the end of the year. And he said, if re-elected he would terminate the payroll tax.[/b] The Social Security Administration chief actuary said that if the payroll tax funding is not replaced, it would deplete Social Security’s trust fund by 2023, “with no ability to pay benefits thereafter.

(Gee, Trumper's I guess you'll have to fetch for yourself after 2023.)

Social Security is the largest source of retirement income for most Americans, and nearly the only source of income for one in four Americans. Any suspension, reduction, or elimination of the payroll tax contribution puts the program in jeopardy. We cannot put Social Security — and Americans' financial futures — in limbo.

Do you want an explanation of how President Trump will protect this hard-earned benefit for seniors, and everyone else who is currently paying into the program? Demand an answer.

Demand an answer...there's a joke    Oh, you will get an answer alright, but it will just be another lie.

OK Trump supporters, vote this idiot in for another four years. After all, this Social Security smacks of 'socialism' anyway, right?
You wouldn't want to be a recipient of anything that appears to be socialist, right?
Why should the federal government pay for your retirement, right?
Trump will be after the retirement checks of all the military veterans next.

You are all rich enough so that you don't need any social assistance from the government anyway, right?
You don't want anything that remotely resembles socialism, right?

BUT!, I'll bet all you senior Trumpers out there, that are so proud of your loyalty to this authoritarian, gladly cash your Social Security checks every month don't you. If you don't want anything to do with social aid/assistance, send your check back. DARE YOU!

Trump Buying Votes

(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump said Congress should authorize sending taxpayers checks from about $300 billion left over in a pandemic lending program.

“We have $300 billion sitting in an account that we didn’t need,” Trump said at a news conference on Friday. “It would be a very appropriate thing to release that to the American people and I am willing to do it.

“We have $300 billion, it’s there, we don’t need the money, we don’t need anything,” Trump said. “I could give it to the people as a very powerful stimulus.”

“give it to the people as a very powerful stimulus.”
Yes, a very powerful stimulus to ...vote for him.

Just as anyone with wealth would do, try to buy their way in. Bloomberg tried it and it didn't work. It won't work for Trump either.

So he will defund the post office, defund Social Security, and now he wants to use our tax money (funds) 'they don't need' to buy his way into another four years.

If its pandemic money 'they don't need', why is there a stalemate in Congress for getting out a stimulus package?

And the arrogance just keeps getting deeper and deeper.

This thread is indirect evidence of election fraud, because it is direct evidence that you on the left will say and do anything with total disregard for the truth.

Every politician "buys" votes, it might not be an outright here's $20 and go vote for XYZ but it can come in the form of a promise to reduce whatever tax bracket your in, help out the union your in, fix the roads, build bridges, more money towards education, lower tuition on post secondary. They get the votes and either do good upon their promise or not.

A former democrat I know became a 2016 Trump supporter. He voted for Trump again in 2020 fearing that Biden would "take away social security".

I'm so baffled on how rt-wing brainwashing can twist someone so perversely. Social security is the most popular socialist policy in the US, arising from a Milwaulkee socialist mayor (https://www.laprogressive.com/victor-berger/). Trump takes every opportunity to demonize socialism, and then he casts that "bad word" on every political opponent even if as conservative as Biden (who has endorsement over Trump from the right-wing Lincoln Project). Yet a Trump supporter who rightly embraces social security actually thinks Biden is a threat to social security.

I must say republicans are for more skilled than democrats in the area of brainwashing people to go against their own interests.

It's all easy, whatever the right clams the moderates are doing that is what they are up to. It's no secret that the right wants to get rid of social programs for people and support social programs for companies.
