I can't begin to think what Honda might have made them for?
 
Its boat motors :D

Looks nice. Should work good with a mid drive to the crank. And some more voltage :p

That's what gave me the "WTF?" moment...

Honda made, in-wheel motors

but big, heavy, and such a low power rating (I'm sure they could easily do that continuously at stall). Can't quite make out from the photo if the phase wires are chunky, or I'm just looking at sleeving.

Made me wonder just what they might originally have been designed for...
 
They are marine motors. And are 8kg each.
I really think this can be used for a rewind and neodymium project :)
