So I have this really cool Greyborg Warp frame and have purchased a shock that should be a good match, the problem now is no one has bushes that allow mounting. I've been trying to find a local machine shop that will make some custom bushes for me but none of the local shops will take on such a small job, they are only interested in work that brings in thousands of dollars.
I'm not a machinest and have no desire to learn how to operate any of it, but I need to come up with some sort of shock mounting solution.
My other alternative to having bushes made is to rig everything with a 10mm bolt and use washers as the shock bushes. Certainly not pretty but it should work.
As far as I can tell, none of the frame mounting points on the Greyborg Warp fits anything off the shelf. I'm trying to come up with some sort of rear shock solution for people who buy these frames, but since this is a non standard application it's a tough proposition. The other issue is many people might not like the shock I choose or want to drill out their frame to fit the correct size hardware.
It's not possible to work with bicycle shops as they can only order by part numbers and known frames they can look up in a catalog.
Rock...meet hard place.
