Source for old green PSI Lifebatt LIFEPO4 batteries?

Have a charger for 36 V, didn't want to buy another. The remaining cells seemed to have held their voltage. One set at 3.31-32, other set at 3.27 V. These old cells just don't exist anymore?

Source for old green PSI Lifebatt LIFEPO4 batteries?

Since I retired a few months ago in June, having more time to pursue riding my ebike. I had a set of 2 X 12 40138 green Lifebatts that were stored charged for 6 years. 5 batteries went bad. About 3 leaked, all 5 went low or zero volts. Looking for a source of the old green 40138 10 ah...

    Question about parralell battery packs?

I've always run 10-12 ah cells in series, the safest way by far. When my old 12 ah cells in one 36V pack started farting out, only the individual cells that were heating up and sagging were affected, not the other cells in the pack OR my newer 10 ah pack in series. Since voltages in parallel...

Storage - Lithium Green cells from AndyH

So far I have not seen any other electric bikes, just donkeys and camels. Wonder what it would be like hitting a camel on a electric bike..? Was the same in Korea, only saw 2 electric bikes there, one was on Osan Air base.

I'll be in Israel at least til 2011. Great weather, nice people.. Will try to get back into the swing of things.

Storage - Lithium Green cells from AndyH

Finally got my bike back on the road after being 6 month in Israel. I started to assemble the green (I think PSI cells) I bought from AndyH before at least June 2009. They have been stored in God knows what heat from S Korea to Israel during the shipment in the summer. From about early Oct til...

Instant Start 18 fet Infineon Boards are here...

Lord - a lot of development going on here. :) My two cents worth if you are selling to the general public (who are using 5304, 5305s??). What voltage and amps can the 5304 continuously handle (say for 15-20 minutes) without any damage? You can sell "insane versions" in smaller numbers at a...

While moving was checking out my receiver amp that's over ten years old. Wouldn't work, so I took it apart. This might be interesting for you. White stuff is where SCRs or FETs were attached.

Lithium Battery Reports & Tests' 9/08

Bob, I could have worded things nicer. I've been around construction types, probably picked up some bad habits. BUT: Would like to know if you actually measured the surface temperature, or just calculated it. You just posted the temps on the graphs without any backup. I don't sit on my...

That graph seems like a crock of s---. :? Been running those green Lifebutt cells at 20-30 A for 15-20 min, felt cool to the touch. We don't have a lot of hot air in Korea right now like other places, maybe that's it...the air cooling..

Wish Doc would take time off from drag racing to testing again. I need to buy another set of 40138 cells (and Lego mounts) before I move to Israel about 5 July. Don't think the mail room screener down there would like a bunch of cylinders showing up with terminals. As Ypedal and I are finding...

    The Greatest Story Ever Told

Jesus Christ and him crucified... Hasn't got anything to do with declining brain power. After having a hotel (Taba Hilton) in Egypt blown out from under me, and the end of the building sheared off about 20 ft from where my wife was, without breaking the glass of the shop she was in...

My new Soneil charger died, Help!

I had mine go bad and repaired it. You can probably find it on previous post. It was one of the large resistors and the SCR power transistor. If you get it fixed check to see if the amps are correct. There are 2 screws at the end that adjust amps & voltage. Sometimes they have the amps up too...

    Infineon controller REVIEW+tests with 18x IRFB4110

Naw - I'm not mad, just disapppointed. Not that big of a deal, just missing finding the problem a couple of weeks after ordering kinda stinks. I probably blow that kind of money if the wife goes thru the mall...

    Infineon controller REVIEW+tests with 18x IRFB4110

If just the new boards are $ 40 each (w/o cases) then it's not too bad. I could have a back up soft start controller with my ebay 4110s (don't y'all fuss). Real plan is to use 2 packs in my WALD panniers, and my 12ah pack on the back rack, for total of 120V, but at 50-60A with 4115 FETs. I...

    Infineon controller REVIEW+tests with 18x IRFB4110

Thanks, that answered it. And I believe correcting the problem is impossible, at least for someone like me with a soldering iron & multimeter. That 846 has fine legs, I don't think even the above average guy could unsolder it, and replace it with an 866. DK

    Infineon controller REVIEW+tests with 18x IRFB4110

Well, page 11 people mention the small cap, and finally decide it's the software. By page 12 Jeremy is saying our boards is the ROM version that can't be changed. Geoff57 makes this comment which seems to tie the 2 subjects together - "I got one for you, the 18 fet at the moment is SOFT start...

Am I mis-understanding something? Is somehow the LVC issue connected to the soft start (delay)? I'm runnning 80V right now, planning on 100-120V. DK
