That's pretty cool Allex. I am not sure it would work through our thick Shinko 241 moto tires though. It looks like they are "Pre-Order" only right now, unless someone has a prototype! I ordered one and will post up when I get it. You have to pay up front so hopefully it isn't a scam!

I just received by mail witch is probably the last brand new doubletrack 24"/36h on earth today. This will be with the fast winding cromotor you offered me.

Andrey, what is the spoke lenght with a cromotor and the doubletrack 24" ?

Did they not replace doubletrack by MTX 39?

Maybe.. but I think the MTX 39 as not the Section Height:... witch is something I like on the Doubletrack, it does help for aerodynamic of the wheel( when used on narrow tire as well) and improove the strength

Awesome trip Evan, Alex, et al. Let me know when you guys start planning a month or 2 trek out to the far east. I have a good friend in Svobodny, at least I think that's the city, something like a 6 day train ride to Moscow. It's high time I take a journey like that. How difficult is it to find opportunity charging once you get away from the cities?

Regarding following so close, the guys around here don't have bikes that can keep up with trucks, so they have no idea how close you have to get to be out of the turbulence and into a spot where drafting really pays off.

Since you guys had a couple of recumbents in the group, how big was the difference in energy consumption compared to the more upright bikes. Any data on avg wh/km for the whole trip for each bike. In addition to comfort, I'm wondering how much more benefit they enjoy.

Next trip is planned for August 2015

I still love my old i-drive, so he's alive again!

old battery from 240pks lg d1 (2012, 90% capacity remain)
mini-e
9c

39.4kg

it will be second bike (more lighter than current) for 50\50 motor-pedal ride

It's back! Fantastic!

My bike is weirdly very, very similar... Same battery configuration, same case/mounting, same in same location, wiring all done the same way on DH comp. Just have a Cromotor instead. My bike is 44kg on the scales.

im currently trying to decide about battery placement on another very ,very similar build

cro motor ,
200 samsung25R,in 20s,10p config (2 blocks od 200x200x~70mm)
GT dhi drive race
max-e

what are your thoughts on the pelicase battery placement compared to say this- http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66384#p997852
(kilowatt bag)

im mostly interested in the handling and feeling of having the peli on the front forks like that. how does it affect steering and perhaps parking of the bike?

Peli + 12kg = magnificent suspension. But it has some price: inertia of rudder at speed < 20kph. Matter of habit. On the parking lot is required to support bike on rudder(peli)

how do you find the dn 10 welder with 0.1mm nickle strip?
we have been trying to use one but it just blows the 0.1mm to bits even at lowest setting.
im guessing we might need at least 0.3mm or so..

That was a great video Ivan, Russia, really beautiful. Spasibo. How far did you go each day on average?

Wow that sounds like fun!

Im guessing the terrain is fairly flat?

This is really interesting results from practical experience.

I always wanted to make some of those diy fenders. i could never find the appropriate type of to modify, the ones with 2 ribs and a flat in in the middle....dang!

Are't thos ejust regular fenders?
