Expert advice needed to modify controller to throttle only

I ran the controller and motor at 48volts with no problems!...It feels much better...with a better range...and the lvc is no longer a pain.

Expert advice needed to modify controller to throttle only

Success!...It works...I tried Keplers suggestion and moved the green signal wire to the new location...Not really bothered about not having PAS... Thanks guys for your trying to help. Next trick is to see if the controller can handle 48volts??

Expert advice needed to modify controller to throttle only

O.k....if I understand you correctly,..I should try to touch a little wire from the positive on the PAS connector,to "TB"on the circuit board?

I wish it were that easy...Unfortunately that doesn't work.

Expert advice needed to modify controller to throttle only

I bought 6 of these mini controllers cheap, without being told that they are Euro spec PAS only...I presume they have been modified for the European regulations...So how do I make it a throttle only controller???.. It has no throttle plug ...Only PAS. It has been suggested it is a KU63 type,but...

Can't seem to get this motor going?

I think you are right...the wires are probably for the PAS...When I spoke to the importer the other day he did say it was Euro compliant... As I've said, he told me it could be used with the throttle if the PAS was set up in series...but as Amberwolf say's it doesn't make sense..I have not been...

Can't seem to get this motor going?

Spoke to the importer this morning..(turns out you were right first time amberwolf)...This controller needs a pedal sensor (PAS)... As the controller only has three little wires for the throttle,I had assumed that there was nowhere to plug in a PAS...The importer informed me that the PAS has to...

Can't seem to get this motor going?

I had the same thought about the ebrakes... but unfortunately its not that...as for the power well above 31volts ...more like 41v I'm beginning to think something is broken.

Can't seem to get this motor going?

I have connected the keyswitch wire to the positive...as for the pedelec sensor, there is no connector for it...only a throttle...

Can't seem to get this motor going?

Bought a cheap 36v brushless geared motor...the supplier also sold me a cheapo brushless controller..He didn't know if the hall & phase wire colour codes matched up..I didn't think it would be a big issue..I tried the obvious and matched the colours..attached the throttle & power wires which...

Can my 36v controller run at 48v without modification?

But isn't there a HVC (high voltage control) to overcome?

Can my 36v controller run at 48v without modification?

wondering if the controller will take higher voltage without mods?...the wheel is a golden motor type brushless hub 36volt 700w... The controller is a different layout to my previous GM controller, which I had modified using the zener diode in front of the large resistor trick...This controller...

Does anyone have experience of controller tester units?

I have seen cheap Chinese hall effect controller testers on ebay.. selling at only £14.79(around U.S.$23.00)....wonder if anyone has experience of them?..They look like the could take the headache out of matching controllers to motors.

    Are all throttles the same?

Thanks for the info..I think I understand....is it possible to distinguish between pot throttle and hall effect type?

    Are all throttles the same?

Is there any way in which I might damage the controller if I connect the wrong type of throttle?

    Are all throttles the same?

It may seem like a naive question...I have the throttle from a scooter which used a brushed motor..it has three wires on it. will it work on a brushless motor?

keeping my lights at 36v after changing controller to 48v?

buying 48v light bulbs would be too easy...plus as this is an electric scooter bike,It would work out quite expensive,as it has brake light as well as indicators...& I presume the flasher unit and horn would also need to be replaced.. my instinct tells me, it must be possible to add a resistor...

keeping my lights at 36v after changing controller to 48v?

I have successfully converted my Sakura electric scooter bike 36v to a 48v system..But have had to disconnect my lights indicator dashboard and brake lights as they are all 36v.. Is there some way I can attach some kind of resistor or something to make it possible to reconnect my 36v bits?

how to wire 48v cheap chinese controller?

I did It..wasn't so hard after all...after I had changed around the wires on the hall effect terminal block to match..then bypassed the e.scooters loom and wired the throttle direct to the controller...it sprang into life...been out for a test ride on it ..and what an improvement!!...O.k. I'm...
