52V controller on 48V BBSHD? Bad idea?

I need to change the controller and the vendor told me he only has 52V controllers which is not suitable for a 48V motor.

I thought both 48v and 52v controllers could work on a 48v bbshd.

Any idea? I would rather not fry the controller/motor. Is it a badea idea to put 52v controller on 48v motor?

The 52V controller. if done properly, would have a low voltage shut off around 43V, while your typical 48V controller is set at 40V. If you have a very good 48V battery that doesn't sag, you would lose some useable range.

Just a random pick of aliexpress sellers. They show all the part numbers at the bottom of the page.
My battery is 52V.
But my main concern in my case is frying the controller or the motor. That's not really possible right?
 
I always thought the BBSHD controllers were 1500W with 30A current? If they are now 1000W, that's only 20A. Maybe Bafang has pulled back on the power.

My 2016 BBS02 will pull 25A per my wattmeters, but .a 2023 BBS02 I installed last year only maxed out at 18A. I didn't worry about it, as it was for a friend. It might have been possible to change the settings,

BBSHDs are 1000W with 1500W peak. And 30A or 28A current depending on the type of controller (48V or 52V).
