Biggest Chainring

15 teeth might be about right anyway, vs 11 tooth once you get a big front chainring on the bike. I have to pedal easy on the 14t or I start skipping the chain. The big dog up front really pulls hard. Most of the time I ride a bit slower, and use the 2nd cog on the freewheel which I can pedal hard on when starting up. With a single speed that may not be a problem, but with a rear derailur the chain can slack enough to jump a tooth when I crank hard on it.

You could buy the big ring and ship it to one of us, and have us re ship it to you. I'd do it, but I live nearly in Mexico, maybe somebody else closer to you ?

My "big" chainring on the bike I ride most is a 39T with a bashring on the outer position and a 26T, which I never use, on the inner. The rear cassette is a 12-30 8-speed and the tires are large 700x47's. I can pedal comfortably at 23 mph in the 39/14 combo where I still get a bit of assistance from the Bafang at 48V even when the battery is less than half full and at 29 mph in the 39/12 combo down a grade and/or with a tailwind but at that speed the assist is gone and it's all me, so it's rare to hold it for long. Once above about 110 rpm it gets a bit much but I can spin briefly to around 130 rpm and 36 mph, though I get winded quickly at that leg speed. At my last location where it wasn't quite as hilly I never wanted for more but since I moved I do spin out once in a while. The downhills are fairly short though so I'm not going to change gearing to maybe hit 40 mph once in a while down a hill.

I don't think these companies realize how much business they're losing by operating like the USA is an island economy. The same is true for many USA ebay sellers.
OT, but I have this problem with many places that require a phone number. Sorry, I don't have one (can't afford it anymore, don't want one anyway), so there are places I can't even talk business with (lots of places I can't work, either, even though I'd never need a phone for work, if I don't have one they won't even let me fill out an application, or take it if I did fill it out already).

PM a buddy in the US, ship to his house, and have it shipped to you from there. Extra cost of course, but for something you can't have any other way,,,

lets man up peoples - 80tooth chain rings are the go. Available in both 130 and 110 pcd's. Exxy at $290 Aus though. From http://greenspeed.com.au

or

these 80 tooth jobbies in both pcd's for $200 Aus from http://trisled.com.au/

You could go straight to the horses mouth so to speak and contact Greenspeed direct in Australia. Have run one of their 80 tooth rings on a trike in the past when I was running a 16" rear wheel.

and now have one on my pedal powered battery charger to help get the 18:1 ratio I needed for it to work. An ex rider from my team went and built his own trike and made a 100 tooth chain ring for it  !!!!

For $190.00 USD, you can get a 73 T, 130BCD, (five bolt) chainring where they specialise in recumbent parts and bikes.
They also carry 60 and 65 tooth rings for the Schlumpf drive. (also 130 BCD)
The 62 T ring is the least expensive @ fifty-two bux.
This happens to me all the time, so I go there, look again at the 62T for $52, 84 cents per tooth sounds great, add to cart, shipping info, State: Choose One. State? Zip Code? Being south of fifty, but north of 49º, on the wet coast, BC has an appendage known as Point Roberts.
It's south of 49º so technically in Washington state. They have a great, no hassle and inexpensive postal service.
Just have it sent to your name at their address. Ride down and pick it up.

Point Roberts WA was a popular place to go drink on Sundays back when bars were closed here.
Customs on both side used to be pretty breezy but I've not been down since 11-9-2001.

North Dakota is within striking distance of Winnipeg. Maybe one of those border towns south of Steinbeck has the same sort of post box service.

EDIT: Guess I should have scrolled further down thread before responding to the quoted post.
Glad you got you chain ring. Looks like your frame should be able to accommodate it.

Today the longest spindle I could find for a 68 mm BB is 129 mm with the right side being longer.
54 T just barely clears the chainstay on this frame.
. . . and I've yet to spread the stays to accomodate an otherwise dog-tracking 9C rear hub. (grrrrr!)

In the jungle, those with many teeth, who can move very fast, survive ...

I think I am starting to learn patience. It took 19 days to arrive and I didn't worry about it at all.
I like bike pr0n just as much as the next guy but that's obscene!
At least it will use up those extra links left over from the two chains it takes for an Xtracycle. (you hope)
