fjp, can you detail how you managed to mount the battery like that?

Hi, I was pretty easy. I used 2 muffler clamps (from memory, I believe they were 1-3/4”) to secure a 1/4” aluminum plate to the u-bolts. To get clearance for the battery mounting bracket I needed to add couple of bolts to create a standoff. If the pics below are to dark let me know and take a couple others.

That looks fairly sturdy. I think you just inspired how to mount a front fairing on my next bike
