That's no problem. That's what adapter rings are for. And there are not that many different diameters. It's just "straight" or "tapered" more or less 8)

There are standardsizes for the fork shaft like 1 1/8" or 1,5". Just the headtube has different sizes. Maybe the headtube could be this one with other sizes: https://lmxbikes.com/en/spare-parts/105-jeu-de-direction-pivot-conique.html

I've also updated the first post with the information below as per Adam's request. I think this should clear up a lot of confusion/questions we all have around fitments of different components etc. However this actually raises some additional questions for me which I will post separately below.

My LMX64 has been hold up in customs a couple of days, but will arrive to me tomorrow.
Anybody else got their bikes and can share som initial impressions?

I put through an order for more parts yesterday including the following:

Rear Shock: Fox Factory Van RC Performance Rear Shock - 2019 - 200 x 57 mm

This doesn't include the spring or bushings, so I also ordered:

Fox Steel Coil Spring - 200 mm - 600 lbs x 2.35"

Fox Aluminium Hardware Kit (Bushings) 5 pieces - 8mm - 19,05mm
Fox Aluminium Hardware Kit (Bushings) 5 pieces - 8mm - 22,20mm

Hope Tech 35W - Pro 4 27.5 Front Wheel - 15x100mm/QR - black

Magura MT5 + MT4 Disc Brake Set FW + RW

Based on the updated specs sheet above and dimensions listed below, I'm pretty sure the Fox rear shock should fit:

What I'm not so sure about is the bushings. I measured the width between the bottom mounts and it was 22mm as mentioned above, but the top mounts came to 19mm between the flip chips...maybe I didn't measure right. Should I have measured between the mounts, not the flip chips.

i wonder why you didnt ordered the stuff from adam too? would be easier to source and try out finding stuff.

the brakes for example. i had all that shimano magura hope stuff on my fat ass hub bikes and those TRP Brakes with 2.3mm discs beat them all...in brake power + durabilty + Price....

why do you ordered 19mm and 22,2mm bushings when they should be 22mm? and why 5 pieces wenn you only need 4 for complete shock?
at least is it a set of bushings only? if so you need also those "plastic" bearings too.

if your front wheel is only 15x100 and has no boost hub, then it will not fit. brake caliper is not in line with the disc.

I like Magura brakes and had good success with them, that's why I picked them again.

I ended up not getting boost forks, so the 100mm hub wheel will fit.

Yes the trp e bike specific are very nice brakes. In the future we will try to get them with the regular mtb lever Abd not the "long" Version with ball end. Lever feel is much better on those, but homologation requires those balls

15*100 with marching hub is mo problem. Regarding the bushings, we can make them but honestly is is quite hard to get the perfect tolérances on those parts without the shock on hand. Most suspension brands can provide you the correct parts for you shock.

I ask for replacement of the right brake lever as for order M*** K****.
The brake sensor is broken. And may have been a kbown issue when shipping them out as the sensor was disconnected before shipping. During assembly we connected the brake sensor of course again and wondered why the bike was not moving.

Please send us a photo with détails of the issue by e-mail and we will check it. Sometimes the sensor need to be ajusted because it triggers too soon in the stroke of the lever.

My bad, i thought you buyed the boost fork =)
about the bushings: you still need only 4 of them. i dont know the price you paid but original are quite $$$.
if you can return them it should be ok.
the 22,2mm will fit anyway(i think) the welds of your frame will not that precise of a "OEM" frame like cuba scott etc...
i did also a mistake on my LMX161 buying bushings.
The Original DNM Shock is 22mm. But when you remove the shock from the frame theres a 1 m i l l i m e t e r Gap =)
Measured inside Frame on different points i had something from 21,8 to 22,5. so i wasnt sure what i should buy. Fox shocks had tons of different bushings sizes (original) so i was afraid of not beeing straight alligned with the mount.
(sideways tension on a shock means bad suspension + 10 more wear.)
Assembled on the frame completly without coil (that you can compress by hand) will show you if everything runs smooth.

btw: dnm shock was good for our fat ass hub bikes. because rebound was nearly not existent and you only needed something to smooth your butt.
now with a mid drive rear suspension works and the DNM shows his ugly face for me myself and i there are worlds between the X2 and the DNM.
the DNM has no static sag at all, bottoms out easy and even the rebound was so weak that i had to closed it completley.

now that LMX is a "manufacturer" i bet they could get pretty nice deals on FOX suspension.
for the killah i have to say its a really good coil fork for the price. it was dumb to sell.

I hope to ride a 64 this year. i like that thing alot but iam out of money for new bikes now ;(

@CD Can you show photos of your front sprocket and surrounding parts.
I'm still waiting on the boys at LMX to provide a noise dampener for my 161. It should be present on your bike. It has been promised by Adam, but as they have been ultra busy i havent pushed them on getting one.
If Adam reads this, maybe he can pm me?

So, it would be interesting to see how your front sprocket assembly differs from the 161.

After deciding in Aug 18 to sell my BBSHD bike and upgrade to eiter Bafang ultra or LMX64, i orderd an LMX64 early Feb 19.
The wait have been long and hard, but finally i received my LMX64 yesterday!!!

After all the delays with this bike (Display/Controller delivery, Workshop theft, Insurance holdup, Sticker production and finaly freight forwarder issue) i was kind of afraid i would be dissapointed in some way when trying the bike for the first time.
After 1,5 hour of hard riding in very muddy conditions, i'm happy to say i was NOT dissapointed!!! This bike kicks ass
In fact i got so pumped riding a long rocky uphill with throttle only, that i hit motor overheat protection mode. I think i saw 140 degrees celsius on the display

Anyways, i am really happy with how the drivetrain works. Having the ability to shift gears to keep up with the motor rpm is nice.
With the bbshd, air pedaling was my biggest issue. With the LMX64 having no gears on the motor, the throttle reponse is always the same in any situation.
Power is plenty for off-road riding and the torque sensor with throttle override works well.
I would prefer that motor stopped instantly when pedaling stopped, but now the motor continues for a second or two before stopping. I hope this can be tuned/changed in the settings.
Another thing i hope can be changes is how the pas +/- button works.
Today the the + button toggles between s2 and s3, and the - button toggles between s1 and s2. The logical thing would be cycling modes up or down with the +/- buttons.

Noise is higher then the bbshd, but i stopped noticing once off-roading. The noise comes from the small cog. It's not a big deal, but i hope it will be reduced with some wear/run-in.

I ordered the bike with some upgrades, Rock Shox fork and shock, Magura MT7 brakes and Maxxis Minion 2.8 tyres.
The 2.8 tyre on the wide rim is massive and feels super sturdy, but clearance to the rear fender is minimal. When inflated to 2 bars, i could hear it barely touchung the fender. (I would rather remove the fender then run smaller tyres

I chose to go with grip shift on the left and half-twist throttle on the right hand. I have always run thumb throttle on the right, but now i'm converted. Half-twist on the right works great.
I switched brakes so that i have front brake on my left hand and did some tidying of the cables/wires from the handlebar.
I also taped some cable holes under the display unit to further waterproof it.

Overall i find this bike to be very high quality with a nicely welded frame with modern geometry, carefully chosen components (front hub looks cheap) and high-end electronics.
I had my first ride without touching the fork/shock adjustments, and with an obiously to quick rebound, the bike felt very fun and playful. Jumping was easy, but i will increse rebound to make it less 'springy'.

A manual, explaining charging times and battery status lights would be nice. (and where to find BMS bluetooth app)
I have not yet tried the buttons on the display, so i don't know what they do.
Mode indicator on display could be bigger, and a trip timer would be nice, but now i'm picky :lol:

I'm superhappy with my LMX64 and can't wait for my next ride

Great report on those things also. How much did it end up costing you after all those upgrades?

It's good to know about the 2.8 tire being that close. I was thinking about getting 3" tires, but now I don't think that would work.

I would not be pointing a hose at your bike to wash it. It might be advertised as water proof/resistant, but realistically with the controller sitting in the bottom of the frame it is likely to collect water and the battery is unlikely to be perfectly sealed. You might not see problems straight away, but if you keep doing it I'm pretty certain water will find it's way in there.
Not too long ago I replaced a BMS that blew up for a guy who hosed clean his Raptor after riding. This is the BMS inside a battery casing, inside heat shrink, inside a sealed frame. Water is really hard to keep out.
