i recently purchased a 48 volt ping 10 amp battery and the bike it was for has now been sold so it just lying there doing nothing my other electric bikes are 36 volt{heinzmann} and 24 volt cyclone my question is it possible to open the ping battery up and change the pack to a 24 volt 20 amp pack if i buy a new 24 volt bms and charger from ping would this battery then run the cyclone kit ok then it draws a max of 30 amps with the odd 40 amp spike this would mean a max of 2 c and should be ok i think has anyone ever changed one of the ductape lifepo4 batterys on here

Yes, but it will take a bunch of soldering. The easiest way would be to get two 24v bms's. Then you could seperate the pack into two 24v 10 ah packs with a lot less trouble that unsoldering every single set of paralell groups to make new 20 ah paralell groups. Easier still to just get a 48v motor though!
