I want to change the controller in my scooter from a Sabvoton SVMC72150 (350pA /peak battery power 14kW) to a Fardriver ND96850 (850pA).
The 21S100Ah Li-NMC battery is capable of continous 800A . The BMS is limited to 200A continous and 350A/60seconds.
With the Sabvoton the scooter is lacking power from a standstill. Scooter weight aproximatly 180kg.
During accerleration it draws up to 14kW from the battery.

How much peak power (tourque) can be achieved with a QS60V5000W Motor , the motor has 16mm phase wires.
Must be similar to this motorhttp://www.cnqsmotor.com/en/article_read_1104.html

I have driven the 5000W motor a short time with a SVMC72260, but the controller blew up during a no load test on the main stand with activated flux-weakening.
The controller was set to 450pA, but was still lacking tourque. Peak battery-power was 17kw.

I also have also a "8kw" Xiamen ZAP / Erider motor which has 2x6mm (perhaps 8mm) phase wires. This motor was origninally powered from a sevcon gen 4 180A with a 72V battery.
I do not know if this motor can reach higher power levels, and can´t find any infos for this motor.

Both motors do not have a temperature sensor, so I can´t measure inside the motor.
During driving uphill I reached already 180C phase wire temperatur with the QS motor.

Has anyone an idea how many phase amps this motor a hab take?

Hi,

two threads for you with useful information:

TL;DR: "John in CR" fed such a hub with 425A (battery) and 550A (phase) @ 20s.
The motor has a kv of about 18 rpm/V, so you can calculate how much torque per ampere (phase) you can expect.

I bought a damaged scooter to get such a hub motor as an upgrade for my scooter (licensed as motorcycle)
replaced a hall sensor and got the damaged scooter running (60V LiFePo4, Sevcon Gen4 80V 180A),
could only do a short test ride because of missing and damaged fairing, but the torque and power at start was not amazing.

The donor scooter looked similar to this but had a different brand (can't remember):

And that's where the hub is now, used as a temporary replacement in a hopefully half way done cargo bike.
The incredible slow wound "48V3000W" 13" QS hub is the better choice for the cargo bike, but the motor has a mechanical
problem (loose magnet?), it makes a knocking noise once per rotation.

hope this helps. cheers!

Looks like mine
The sportivo was with smaller controller and only 1x6mm phase wire mine has 2x6mm per phase.
I got the version called "Extremo"

Cenat 20Ah Power Pouch Cell 21S5P
Continous 8C Discharge and 5C charge
73kg with 120mm copper connectors and 252 M4 screws. 13mOhm measured at the controller, including BMS , wiring and fuse. Voltage sag 2,2V @165A

I had to lenghten the wheelbase and the battery housing for the battery by 4cm.

This will be my "new" charger setup for fast charging.
