Hi,
I have the XTreme Xb-700li bike, and I tried to upgrade it by overvolting the bike, however the speed gains where marginal (about 1-2,5MPH for a 7,4V overvolt), and the regenerative braking did not work anymore.
The bike uses a 700W motor, and a 48V 20A battery (which I paired with another 48V 10A battery).
Both of them have double the amps in peak (48V 40A / 48V 20A).
I was thinking, if I upgraded the controller to one used for 1000W motors, would my bike accelerate and go faster?
Any recommendations?
