Nanjing far driver controllers

Thanks for that,i do not think it is wiring, had it auto learn set about a year or so no problem,
this time with new app it beeps to say auto learn,i twist the trottle and it spins the wheel one way and stops.sometimes it starts auto learn in reverse and stops, wait no joy i let go of trottle and it starts the auto learn beeps again?
Oh, you need to click save after releasing the throttle which must be after he beeps once to indicate that self-learning is finished (quote from the Chinese Manual)
I too do self-learning multiple times, can't harm, I thought. :)

it does not finish auto learn, the wheel spins only once, but does not finish auto learn
iasked QS how many pole pair 16 so i will set that and try again the app had it at 4 pole pair, it is a hub motor?

Zipped from SiAecosys

The link didn't work!

I'm able to download it here (very very slowly, about 3.5KB/s); their server may have very low bandwidth), so you may have a firewall between you and the source, or your browser may not allow you to access it directly (or at all) and you'd have to check the browser's instructions / etc on how to access links for .zip files.

Anyone here have an issue with their FarDriver cutting out with no errors and giving a single beep when the throttle is twisted? This has happened to me twice. The controller worked fine with the same throttle, this issue popped up when I switched motors to an FW11 from a MY1020. The only other thing that changed is I'm no longer running a freewheel so it could be Regen settings I haven't finished setting up. Both times it happened was after a stretch of WOT and coasting then reapplying throttle.

What is the StopBackCurr and MaxBackCurr? I had a no throttle response while heavy or long brake sessions with a too high of these parameters, probably bms protection related. A full stop would make the throttle work again.

Anyone have info about the Product tab settings?
I just figured out that those settings were limiting my throttle below 500rpm. Was a really weird issue. Couldn’t figure it out with all the normal settings so I started messing with “Product” settings. I never would have thought those settings effected the throttle response/delay below 500rpm🤦🏻‍♂️
We need a manual that actually explains all the settings for these FarDriver controllers!

What did you change in the product Tab?

There's at least one thread that was started to figure them out, so if you add everything you know to it, it will help others:
and this
and there's also the thread we're posting in now that has some info.

Posting every detail you happen to find out, including what you change from and to in each setting and the exact results you get from that vs what you had before, will also help.

I was getting a delay on the throttle response. On the app I could see it only getting to 90-100 throttle (0-256 range) while under 500rpm, and once past that it would go full throttle output to 256 on the graph. So I just started messing with any and every setting there was. Re Acc seam to effect how fast the throttle responds from 0rpm.
Also RelayDelay set to low as possible.
StartIs to low as possible (not sure if this had an effect)
Fast RE to valid.

SlowdownRPM set to 4000 I think was the key setting!
When it was set to 500 (like it was) it would not give more then 1/3 throttle output, even when trying to give it full throttle, until the rpm got above 500. Then I would see the graph actually showing the throttle to respond to 256 output. Now it will show 256 output at even 0rpm! The way it should be.!

Just start messing with all of the settings in the product tab, one at a time and then go watch the throttle response on the graph page.

Now when I give it full throttle, the graph shows it going to 256 (full throttle output) in about 1/2 of a second. Like it should, doesn’t stay low at around 100 (1/3 throttle), like it used to.

I got that from someone on the Electric Motorcycle Builds Facebook Page. With a hope & prayer I tried that wire connection & my display works. After endless fiddling, I also got the odometer reading as close as possible & my speedo is now within 1-2kph of gps.
Where did you get info or manuals to program display parameters of your Nanjing fardriver controller? Thanks

Now the throttle responds great, but still seams to be very under powered for how much power it is drawing from the battery. Seams like most of the power is just being turned to heat in the motor. This is the first my1020 motor I’ve tried though. Maybe the wiring order is not ideal or correct for the far driver 72260 controller. I’ve tried like 20 combos of sensor and phase wires to see if any worked better, but no luck.

Doesn't the controller have an autotune function to determine the correct phase/hall combo on it's own, as well as all the other motor tuning properties required to operate a motor with it?

(if you haven't tuned it for the motor, then presuming it's an FOC controller (all the FDs are AFAIK), it's not going to run the motor very well.

Auto tune doesn’t seam to change much. I’ve ran it 5-10 times to see what settings might change. Definitely having the an setting set to 16 was an issue. I thought mid drive setups were ment to use an=16 for surface mounted magnet motors.
The info on all the settings and ranges they can be set, needs to be documented better. Dam chinglish…

Autotune detects (visible) only phase angle and throttle min max values.
There is no change in p i d parameters or motor body value (AN)

I was successful , with log in , the app works but it says (old version, need to upgrade new version like h68 h685 etc)?
Tried to do Auto learn but no go with the app,
Where is the new version they talk about?
As far as the pc program I had no luck with download I tried second last and last , no program shown up?
Hey peadar, I just got same message to upgrade. I ignored it and then could alter some parameters but not the pole pairs. It then says use new BLE module. So just in case I am a bit slow to catch on when it says new BLE it means a new Bluetooth dongle? I watched a video online and it showed the app and where mine has the expert button on the Paras tab it said NBLE whereas mine is called pro OBLE or something like that. Thought maybe I am running the wrong app version for my controller?

I thought I saw something about Bluetooth that flashed up on screen for a second ,then vanished,my Bluetooth seems to be okay because it saves setting ok and it goes into Auto learn and beeps but I can't complete,

Fardriver changed the BLE module, and for the newer controller there can be bought a new module.
But some of the older Controllers do not work with the new BLE.
My 721800 does not connect with the new BLE from my 72680.

If you want to change the values you could try an older software version. I had to use 1.5.6 on an old phone to change values and the newer version 2.4.9 to save the changes, because the old version did not save the values.

My controller came with Bluetooth I got it late 2022 have not finished project yet, used it when I first got it did Auto learn no problem, then recently I tried to use it, had to update app , and still have problems with complete Auto learn,
Sometimes it does a kind of Auto learn but cannot be right because it was super slow, difference results sometimes but none right,
Still have time to figure it out, have to finish battery build.
It doesn't seem like I should have to replace Bluetooth? I will tryout older app and hope for the best

the auto learn isnt magic, dont forget that, if you dont have the controller setup per the batter output, motor limits, etc etc, the auto learn isnt going to do it for you, well, it will, but you really need to sit down and program the controller.
I would look around and see if you can get an experienced person to maybe do a call with you to help you through it.
The app is wicked and dangerous lol so be careful you will fry stuff or make it never work if not done properly.

how at this point do you know the controller, motor, throttle, wiring you have is even good.
This being a continued issue for you sounds a bit sus...
