So happy to see this one coming:

I wonder what the right and left flange offset will be for 150mm front? Been wanting to see something that could make a dishless front wheel with disc brake for quite some time.

Also very interested what regen performance will be at slow speeds? (Since it is a big motor I reckon the efficiency will be much better than we normally expect from a smaller direct drive motor. I'm even hoping it would beat a front geared hub motor (with locked clutch) in the low speed regen department.)

So what do you want it for ? What voltage what amps ?

I'm mostly interested in the regen performance and light throttle forward performance.

At lower watts the big 45mm motor would require a lighter throttle than the 27mm Grin all axle motor and thus with both motors at the same Kv and same wheel diameter (at X speed at X watts at X vehicle load) I predict a higher efficiency (all other things being equal) for the GRIN fat motor.

This motor at only 6kg affords the luxury of lower power usage:

Appears this motor is on the ebikes.ca sim. Looks like the peak efficiency is 90.2% and it could handle some serious continuous wattage.

Nice alternative to the ol' 24lbs cromotor that was 5000w rated.

Weight still unknown, but very likely the new power density champion for DDs.
