Opinions needed on kit

I am new to the ebike world. I haven't had a lot of time to do much research. I know what my budget is and I know I have an immediate need of a bike to get me back and forth to work. I have a cruiser bicycle that is free to me if I want it and I'm looking to outfit it with the least expensive kit that I can get by with for now and upgrade later. I saw this on Amazon and would like some opinions on this kit. I know it's heavy but I don't have to pick the bike up and carry it upstairs or anything like that it would go from out my door approximately 6 mi to work on mostly flat ground. I am in Florida and the biggest grade I will go up is an overpass. And I can push it over that if I need to. The rest of it will be flat ground. I weigh about 240 lb and the bike will be ridden on a bike path so I don't need tremendous speed. Any advice on this kit or something better that will move me along as cheaply as possible would be appreciated.

That's horrible. Don't do it. How do you propose to get the motor power to either wheel of your bike anyway? That's not bike chain. How are you gonna mount the motor?

Here, check this out.

You can't get a cheaper system than this unless you have access to free or used stuff.

If I were you, I'd spend a little money getting that bike fixed up nice, with good tires and a lovable saddle, and ride it in the traditional manner. You can make it 6 miles in half an hour if you commit yourself. In that way, you buy yourself some time to assemble a decent e-bike and shake it down without desperately hacking something together all half-assed that will leave you stranded when you need to be at work.

Can you give me directions or advice on how to wire this up?

It is pretty easy man
Battery is 2 wires the big red and black ones
Throttle is 5 small wires
Phase is 3
if its sensored then a few more wires
Its all labelled man, its pretty darn easy, just look at any video on youtube and you will see
the problem is the ignition wire might be called something else
translation is not their strong suit

Easiest method for wiring up the battery, charger, and controller power leads is probably to get some XT60 connector pigtails and butt splice then onto the relevant wires. I like "shrink and solder" butt splices, but whichever kind you like is probably fine.

If you're lucky, you can plug the breakout cable into the motor, plug the other nonsense cable ends into the corresponding controller connectors, and everything will work fine. If not, you get to mix and match wire colors until hey! it works at last.

The throttle might or might not come with a plug housing. If it doesn't, you can plug the blades in separately and apply enough tape or "liquid tape" to keep the tidbits from touching. In the worst case, you can cut off the plugs and butt splice the wires.

The battery balancer is pretty easy to install, but it might be most straightforward to solder the sense wires onto the battery interconnections. For this you need to know how to solder and to have a suitable iron.

If none of what I just said makes sense to you, you probably need a plug and play kit-- but it will cost more.
