Hi everyone new member here :) just purchased a schwinn 700c ebike with a bafang 350w rear hub motor. I tried the bafang throttle and had no luck cause there's no port for it. Wanted to try to see if anyone has tried to install the bafang thumb throttle on this e-bike or similar bike? Thanks for all the help :thumb:

You'd have to show exactly which bike and exactly which system it has on it (model and part numbers, brand, year, etc), because there's many different systems out there. (we still might not know, but it's unlikely for us to be able to tell with just the info provided so far).

Some of them are designed specifically to not have throttles, depending on the area they're sold in, and the firmware / settings of the controller won't accept input from one even if you add a connector to the place on the board inside it might have for one.

If yours is like that, you'd have to replace the controller (or whole e-system, if it has a display) with one that does accept a throttle.

Some might have alternate firmware you can "hack" onto the controller that let you use one anyway.

Swx02 bafang gear drive rear hub and purchased bafang thumb throttle bbsxx model which is supposed to work with mid drive and rear hub motors. Hope this helps. Thanks

Can you post pictures of the controller? Any label on it?
As Amber wrote you have a bike that may not have been setup for a throttle.
A new controller is the likely solution. But more info needed.

It's hard to help if you don't post up what was asked for. Your harness connects to a controller. That is the display button pad.

Since your bike came setup with only PAS you likely have no route to a throttle unless the controller has an additional lead.

Please re read ambers post. You will likely need a new controller and display. As I explained over the phone numerous times. You do not have a connector for a throttle.
