Good diode for protecting bms in series?

Hey guys, I'm about to add a battery with bms in series with my existing pack with bms. I understand that I need to add some diodes to protect them in case one of the bms trips. From searching the forum, I should find one that's rated higher than what i need, which is ~70v/150A absolute max...

What LSM's are available in Canada?

Hey guys, It seems to me that Canada has completely abandoned Limited Speed Motorcycle class electric scooters (or the EV companies have abandoned Canada...who knows). EVT is dead and gone. Lots of scooters to be had from around the world, but nobody stands a chance of registering them in...

    Vancouver: Stolen Black/Silver Motorino XpH

Might as well post it here... Just found out my scooter was ripped off sometime between 10am and 1pm today, from the motorcycle parking on Nelson Street, by Expo Blvd, in downtown Vancouver, BC. It's a black/silver motorino xph. Has some Haida stickers on it. If you have any info, let me...

    TopBand LiFePO4 Cells

Has anyone ever tried these or know anything about them? These are particularly interesting to me as 6 of them will fit in nearly exactly the space of 1 20ah 12v SLA battery, so I know I can fit 24s in my existing scooter battery box. Something seems fishy to me as I don't see how the power...

    diy ring terminals

I was surfing around EP months ago and I remember seeing a thread where someone (doctorbass?) had created their own ring terminals by splitting the wire into 2 strands, wrapping it around a nail or something, then tinning it with solder and hammering it out... I can't seem to find it...

Looking for cheap charger with adjustable cutoff

I've got some SLA's that are not in the best shape, but aren't in the worst either. I still get decent range out of them. Problem is, they don't quite reach the required voltage to shut off the charger. So what I'm looking for is a charger with an adjustable cutoff, so I can lower it a bit so...

Newb Controller & FET controller upgrade question

Hello, I've got a cheapie electric scooter with a 48v rated controller. I've opened it up, and it has a 1000uF 63v cap, and 7 mosfets. 6 of the mosfets are clearly identifiable as NEC k4145, and the last one I don't know... I wanna run this thing at 60v...which in reality with fully charged...
