New GNG Mid Drive Brushless 60V650W

dusan said:
I'm currently have only stock, 12t freewheel and 44t chainring. I ordered #25 - (11/68) for primary side.
I am going to upgrade secondary side as well with new freewheel, probably https://www.danscomp.com/products/461002/ACS_Crossfire_Freewheel.html
Or pro version.
I am thinking about ISIS, as I am hard biker :)
And probably based on user suggestions, I will go for BMX chain.
Another thing is, I need to add another chainring - 22t, to be fully satisfied. These 22t chainrings are 64BCD, so there wouldn't be problem. I actually need to find proper screws to mount additional chainring on current 38t, with proper washers, for sure. Hope, it will be easy as I write it :)
I'm going to run it on 10s Lipo as I want to keep full throttle motor around 80rpm, to follow my cadence. So durability of BB and crank are crucial for me.
But there is another option, myzter is running secondary reduction on #25. It is, for sure, more silent and you can increase reduction size. But I think, I am not supported with any special tools. http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=29163&p=961870#p961870

Thx for the info!!
I seen myzters build and he is using #25 sprocket with 95 teeth. But is it possible to buy a #25 small jackshaft sprocket for the gng type shaft???

Myzter is building on his own and he is good. Well if I would have access to proper machines, I would do same.

But isnt the secondary small jackshaft #25 sprocket available to purchase??

Does anyone know an online supplier of 64mm bcd steel single speed sprockets? 32T

all i can find locally for 64bcd is those 12speed alloy sprockets which i don't think will last too long under load, they're pretty pricy too.

and wishes posted a link to #25 drive sprockets earlier in this thread. the 13t looks perfect. otherwise ebay has them for cheap from china

Yes I got the 13T for the primary side.
I mean...is there a #25 sprocket for the secondary right side that
can fit on the stock gng crankshaft???

I wanna put #25 chain and sprockets on both sides

Yes, it is but myzter doesn't use freewheel on jackshaft.
But if you would move freewheel on primary side, there won't be problem.

i wanna keep the freewheel on the secondary jackshaft like the original gng sprocket except I want to put a #25 sprocket instead.
Is it possible to have a freewheel #25?

There's option to use suitable freewheel adapter
https://www.electricbike.com/backyard-millyard-gng/
Then can be used #25 or #219 sprockets.

Interesting
But i have never seen anyone use the #25 sprockets and chain on the secondary side yet.

So, I mounted another 22 tooth chainring and now I can climb with just 2-3 Amps but most important, I can still ride any terrain without motor support.

Does anybody know if this mod (soldering another shunt)
http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=46891#p686506
has influence on throttle sensitivity?
Actually, I did mod before first ride, so I am just curious if throttle sensitivity was changed.
Currently I can take from battery over 50Amps.

Did you make your own 3 piece chainring set up or buy it??
I also am using 3 rings. So now I have 14 gears to pedal in or shift between and the largest
outside ring going to my motor

It's stock crankset plus one additional 4 arms 22t chainring (Shimano XT M770 22t) mounted with longer screws.

My new concept, batteries (2x5s 5000mah) are under seat. I still working on it. After today's 18km ride, in batteries remain over 2000mah. Terrain was mud and wet. Weight is bike + 6kg.

Is your large chainring to jackshaft sprocket 1/8 or 3/32?
These chains are very similar in size but I think the 3/32 is more narrow
perhaps can be less quiet

What meter is that? Max. Voltage???l

GNG revised this kit for 2015. they got rid of the plates that forms the jacks-shaft, those parts are now part of the motor housing casted as one block. Also the freewheeling crank had been updated as well.

do you happen to know if the driver sprocket on this motor can be replaced? (i'm not even talking about changing ratios, just in the event of wear and tear)
what type of chain is used for the primary?
can the secondary freewheel be replaced with an acs crossfire as it was for the previous kit?

honestly I have no idea. looks like its screwed on since there is no keyway notch if it was a press on part like how they did it with the older brushed kits using the similar looking freewheel that got a pressed on adapter for the 12T screw on freewheel. No notch too to remove it with a tool so I guess the only way for me to remove this is with a vice. gotta ask GNG how to remove/replace since that part will wear out eventually

i allready tried asking but jon seems to selectively ignore my questions about replacing parts
But theres seems to be a sprocket for motor in the parts section
http://www.gngebike.com/parts

My 219 chain seems to be very similar to the primary chain .i can provide side by side images

well one or two email wont hurt.... I can also contact him through ebay if I had too since that is where I bought mine for added protection in case he selectively ignore my e-mails if things don't work as they should in my 60 day payapal dispute window. I got burned by this guy before when I bought my first gng kit that only lasted for 6 weeks... you can see that at ES Facebook page. looking around the internet about the freewheel used in this new version and the ones in the older version. seems like they are identical and just removed the pressed in adapter for the 12t freewheel and just machined that jackshaft axle with threads on. hmmm. :?:

i have no idea about 60 days dispute thing. so i don't know the difference between contacting him by email or by ebay.

he splitted the package as i requested, but ignored my request of putting aside the controller and throttle from the parts package, i thought it would get held up by customs, by surprisingly it didn't.

the jackshaft freewheel seems the same phanpy freewheel used before, i have no idea about how it will hold, one (spinningmagnets) says it won't hold water, another (skunjea) says most people won't have problems.do you mean i can replace it with standard freewheels (maybe the token freewheel which although have 18T, also has double brearings)
i also don't know if i should use the default 60V controller with my 50.4 pack , as i don't know if this controller takes lower voltages. or use my grin's 34 amps 48v controller i ordered for it.

by ESFB i assume you mean ES Facebook page which i had no idea about until you said it here. no i'm Elhanan.

what went wrong with the first kit?
