I have been to the Physiotherapist who has different machines one is the one you described that produce minor electric shocks to the muscles. He used to put the same on my back (some kind of anode and cathode) which produced little tickling electric shocks which helped a lot. Now the weather is getting colder and my back is again feeling it. I know it will take its time to heal but when ever I accidentally stretched it in wrong manner, it would take me to the same initial condition from where it started to heal. That is something I have to be careful about. But its life and this is part of it so I am bearing with it. I am confident that things will get better one day.
