Adding hall sensors to HS 3540

I am in the process of upgrading my HS 3540 motor. I want to install hall sensors and I have some questions. The pre-machined slots in the stator are too small for the sensors so I will have to open them up. Does anyone know the ideal spacing of the sensors so I know which way to open the slots up? Also does anyone know how they route the hall wires from the factory? There is almost no clearance to run the wires through the windings like they do on the X5 motors. Thanks!

I have the right hall sensors unless they use a different sensor than the regular X5's have. I have the ss41 honeywells. The slots in this motor are only 2mm wide.

Well it seems like nobody has any input on this. I guess I will open up my old X5304 and measure off that.
