motor winding question

Hi all,i have a generic chinese 100w direct drive hub motor,it seems one (or more)of the phases are shorted as i have continuety with phase wires and motor body,there are two poles next to eachother look blackened,would there windings on those poles be a single wire or a few in paralell?,i need to strip it and take pics,cheers.

Looks like you asked the same question on your other thread. You can probably get the mods to combine the two threads to keep all of the background in one place.
