Rix, Thank you for the kind words, but Recumpence deserves the credit for that, I just measured his beautiful design and inputted into the computer. I have nothing to show yet, I am still in the head scratching phase. I have the drive unit modeled in the computer and have been...

    Phasor Cycles/ Recumpence drive collaboration

I received the drive unit, what an awesome piece of machinery. It is in the works, and I will post anything here as it comes. Any input from the ES community is appreciated and will be taken into consideration, although not necessarily implemented, but if there is something you would like to see...

Some new stuff is in the works for 2015, including a bolt in DaVinci drive option for the Phasor frame, a collaboration between Recumpence and I. It will likely be quite different from the original Phasor frame, I will post updates as they come along. Keep an eye out for some other new options...

Someone asked me how many could be fit in the frame so I figured this information would be helpful here. 20mm diameter batteries representing 18650's shown in a hexagonal closest packed lattice. The internal width of the frame is almost 100mm, so laid sideways as shown you would have more...

After having some fun with the BMC V4 at 84V, I decided to reconfigure the 20s3p battery pack into a more practical 10s6p pack. While not being as fast, I will have more usable range since I won't have to worry about overheating the motor. With the 20s setup the motor would heat up quickly...

It will go in, the openings are 1.25" and the width of the swingarm where it attaches is 1.25", so even .005" of powdercoat will give you trouble. Here is how I have done it, Try shaving some powdercoat down with a razor blade where it interferes on the frame, and on the swingarm. Then cover the...

I read through that thread, and it was in the back of my head while I was kicking myself thinking I should have heeded your warnings. But I had to learn the hard way for myself. I still think if the oil can be contained, then a finned case can have a significant impact on heat dissipation, but...

I think I have broken everything that can break but the gears. I am reluctant to do the vent holes because I go in the dirt all the time and dirt + gears would not be good, it would definitely need some sort of filter. Everything can be beefed up, but the one way bearing will become the weak...

Thats mph. This motor pops the wheel up from a stop (with a little lean or pedal assist) better than the bike with the torque motor, but I could feel that the motor doesn't like that, and doing that repeatedly is a good way to toast them as I have found before. As long as the temperature stays...

That area usually stays pretty clean, I did search around for some sort of dust boot / cover for that, I know they have to be out there. For the dirt, there is the green bike anyway. I don't see why not, it mounts to the ISCG mount so as long as that is not blocked off. 1) So far I have...

Hello all, Some interesting builds happening here, great to see the diversity in what everyone comes up with. More in the works coming soon. I have heard some of your feedback, I will now include an allen stub that can be chucked up into a drill so the panels can be removed quickly. Using...

I have made some revisions for the next run of frames based on feedback I have received from customers, just a few minor changes. I have added a slot to make tightening the seat post easier / possible. With the emergence of the Cromotor and it's ilk, I widened the swingarm and added a little...

You are right the preload adjustment will stiffen it up, I am just saying it doesn't change the spring rate, or how much force is required to compress the spring a given distance. If you preload a 500lb/in spring, it is still a 500lb/in spring.

http://service.foxracingshox.com/consumers/Content/mtbspringratecalculator.htm If I type in your parameters here it says to use a 500lb spring, so I would try the one you have out before you buy anything else. inputs: weight - 90 + 150 = 240lbs rear wheel travel = 8.1" shock stroke = 3" sag -...

Assuming you have a 24s battery pack, then you have 24 cells *3.7 Volts per cell = 88.8 Volts nominal. At full charge of 4.2 Volts per cell you have 24cells * 4.2 Volts per cell = 100.8 Volts hot off the charger. If you choose a cutoff voltage of say 3.3 Volts per cell, they your cutoff voltage...
