is it correct that the cromotor has a drop ot of 165mm?
so it does not fit into a normal frame, right?
TheCrown has a drop out of 140mm and it fits in a normal frame, right?
it is good to hear that there is no issue with TheCrown on high voltage... :D
yes it looks like you can go with higher Amps.... :twisted:
100V and 100Amps sounds good to me...
@dotrick
so TheCrown runs good on 100Volts or do you have any issues with it?
wich controller do you use?
we want some pics...:)
@WeejockpoopongMcPlop
how is your bike?
what speed could you achieve with it?
we want some pics...:)
@Spacey
all you have to do, is just to flip the spokes bei 180°, they will have 1x cross and the lenght should be OK, too.
Is it possible to upload a picture directly to the forum?
Hey Spacey,
i would not ride the bike the way you laced TC in this rim...it is not correct...and for sure it is dangerous if you want to go high speed.
The way you laced the spoke they will pop out the holes very easy...you laced it wrong.
Check out the original Crystalyte picture again...you...
hey sacko let us know about the new Crystalyte TC...
do you have your TC now?
have you build it in your bike yet?
years ago i had a Crystalyte 72V 50A controller and a ran it with a 90V battery...it was OK...i had no problems with the controller...even on a very hot day...it was going good...
i would guess, that in europe you can get the motor from: crystalyte-europe
and in USA from HighPowerCycles...
@Hyena
any news about the testing of TheCrown?
@Heyena
yeahhh...that would be cool...7kW continuous at only 9kg...that would be pritty good for a hub motor
TheCrown has better magnets(up to 150°C), better lamination and more copper inside the stator...maybe the 7kW is realistic
especially for a hub motor(because it spins with low rpm and...
@Drunkskunk
no, no and no.
maybe you got me wrong.
I just want to say:
it is wrong to say that a product will cause problems just because it has a different design.
and saying that by just looking at some pics of that product.
sofar NOBODY at this forum knows anything about this motors...
@amberwolf
the design of the new motor TheCrown doesnt cause any problems at the moment/so far...
at the moment it just looks unique and cool... :D
sorry mate....but...at the moment all your guessing about the design of the spokes and the used materials are pointless...
because at the moment...
hey JRH when i get you right, than your concern is that under the "wrong" circumstances a spoke can pop out the hole and get lose...is that what you mean?
i like the design of the motor AND of the spokes because it is different to these that you see at any other motor...it looks cool
all the...
they are not exactly the same, but similar to the Mavic...
when i see the Mavic hub-design...i have much more trust in the Crystalyte design...:)
when this Mavic hub have prooven their design, than the Crystalyte design will be fine...:)
@pchen92
there is an easy access dont worry...
you can...
+1 for the integrated temp. sensors
i think for this kind of motors the temp. sensors is a MUST...
i hope Crystalyte will put 2x sensors inside the motor...
