Hey guys and gals

My name is Charlie. I just ordered a Currie e-bike motor kit. I am wondering what exactly I should expect? I have done some searches on here and everything looks good with the kit, except the battery and the noise. Can you guys give me any advice on battery maintenance and an upgrade maybe? Thanks for any advice on this kit. I thought it would be good to start with something cheap and if I ride it enough upgrade into a more expensive rig.

Thanks

Charlie!

It won't be that fast, but it will get up a hill fine. Batterys come down to two things with SLA's. Try to discharge them 50-70% max at all times. never run them all the way down if you can help it. Then charge immediately. So charging where you have ridden to is real good.

Is that currie a hub motor? It seems Currie changed from chain drive to hubmotors on their bikes. Got a link to your kit?

Currie makes both hub motor and non-hub motor eBikes. The kit is the same parts that are found on an eZip.
