    GoldenMotor Magic Pie.

GM guy, I like your new product. The name is fine. Stupid names work. Look at yahoo.com To those who have a problem with the name, just rebrand it with $2.00 in remanufacturing/decals.

    GoPed electric assist kit

I like the idea of an "all in one" ebike solution. If goped has perfected any technology it is friction drive and the rubber it kisses up to. Steve, I'll be ordering a few. 15lbs is what most hubs weigh. Does the "one bolt release" require and tools? PM sent BTW

    V18 Milwaukee Battery Test

Not a scientific test... I got the v18s yesterday. To make them work with the v28 battery connectors you have to grind down the plastic notch on the connector (not the battery). They don't seem to mind the 20a draw of my 48v20a controller. I have 4 of them 2s2p for 36v6ah. I got 10 miles...

    Milwaukee v18 vs. v28

i'm going to keep them in my other pannier and plug them in when my v28s are fully discharged. I don't know what FETs are in my controller. I got it from ebikes canada about 8 months ago. Wouldn't running them in parallel do something bad? Thanks

    Smoking on the KMX ST

fun fun fun. Well built. My 405 + 48v20a kit came in from ebikes.ca and by the time I was done building it I was overbudget on my beer intake. I turned right into a curb at 15mph which I thought was a dip where I could enter the sidewalk. It went right over it with no problems. BTW: the...

how much torque for hub nut?

I got my 20" 405 + 48v20a in today from ebikes.ca. Last time I had to replace a tire on my 26" setup I striped out the threads on the axel from over torquing. This time i'm using my torque wrench. What's a good rule of thumb for ft. lbs on these hubs? Thanks

    My wife's new Townie...

That is an awesome color scheme!. I love tywraps myself yet that bike looks to awesome to sport them. It looks like you could enter the frame where the rack connects. Does watts up use a shunt or does the current flow through the unit? Wow, I used to paint my 1975 porches in need for speed 5...

    v28 Milwaukee Battery Packs

I'm about to pull the trigger myself on the v28s. The only thing holding me back is how to charge these without buying a bunch of chargers. Any ideas? Could i connect 6 to the 1 hour charger and get a 6 hour charge time?

Cool, if you get chased by black helicopters they won't see the heat from your batteries. Somone should build a stealth ebike.

    KMX Motor Selection Questions.

I've decided to run just the front brakes. I will be ordering a motor for my new kmx soon. It's a choice between the 20" 405 and 406. I'm leaning twards the 406 as it weighs more and might deal with heat better. Any input would be awesome. What are your thoughts?

    Theft control.

search ebay for "Camera bag alarm" they are around $13. That's what I use in addition to a crappy chinese bike lock. The second someone moves the bike the alarm goes off. I hide mine under the water bottle.

Pure awesomeness. I would of never thought of it. I tried an ac adapter with 12v 1.5a / 5v 1.5a output connected to my 72v sla output and got the specified outputs. Thanks a bunch!

Using brushless motor as a dynamo generator?

How about a brushed ebike hub motor? could I connect directly to a 12v battery and charge it? how would I keep it from spinning with 12v hooked up? Electric lawn mower sounds cool. I have some 1/2hp 120vac motors lying around. Would these be good canidates for an electric push lawnmower? How...
