There's a guy near me that posts these on craigslist all the time. Guess he bought a container or something cause he has tons of them. Selling for 1000$ each. https://cnj.craigslist.org/bik/d/mongoose-cx24v450electric/6459148413.html Wonder if he's tested all the batteries to see if they'll...
BBS02 requires a 68-73mm bottom bracket. The ID of the bottom bracket needs to be I think atleast 33mm. When I installed this on my Speciailzed Hardrock 29r I hit a snag where the ID was like ~30mm. I bought an adjustable reamer kit from Harbor Freight to ream the ID bigger to fit the BBS02...
Ant1,
If you're worried about over discharging and you don't want to get a Watt meter to mount to your handlebars they have voltage meters that plug into the JST balancing leads on LiPO that have an alarm that will sound at a specified voltage so you know to cut it off.
Good thing they're color coded or you'd have a lot of fun on your hands. You'll definitely want to twist them together and then solder. Heat shrinking each individual followed by a big heat strink over the lot is your best bet.
Respect the battery and you'll be fine. Keep it balanced, inspect it often, never overcharge/discharge and you won't have issues. If you don't want to do all that then go with a different battery. All the lipo fire videos show people overcharging, puncturing etc.
Did you check the voltage the battery is at when fully charged by the supplied charger? Based on em3ev's website they use 14s so your voltage should be no more than 58.8v. I believe the BBS02 is set to ~62v overcharge protection. Don't quote me but I think I read that. So if your battery is...
You can do BMS or connect your 4 packs in paralell for charging.

All you need to do is create a paralell harness for the 4 batteries and then make a balance harness that connects all the balance leads.
U-Ground UP. I work for an electrical contractor on the weekends sometimes and this is how he taught me. When I asked him about it he said there's no standard in the code but that there is safety benefits as you've mentioned from putting the U-Ground up and none for putting the U-Ground down...
All the bike needs is a 68mm-73mm Bottom Bracket and 35mm inner diameter bottom bracket shell to work. I recently installed one on a 2012 Specialized Hardrock and had to ream the bottom bracket shell slightly for it to fit as it was smaller than 35mm. Most manufacturers won't list the inner...
I just ran into this issue with my '12 Specialized Hardrock. BB is 68mm but I'm guessing the inner dia is smaller than 35mm toward the middle. I saw a youtube video of a guy that had an adjustable reamer that worked for him. Think he said it was like 33-38mm. The BBS02 needs 35mm inner DIA...
