Torque assist / PAS system?

I have another question regarding my new system.

I am wanting a front wheel, geared hub with a throttle. I am looking at the eZee front hub (already have this model). My current system is throttle only. If I get a pedal assist (pas, torque) as well, can the pedal assist be disabled (shut off) while still being able to use the throttle.

It depends on the controller, but most let you switch between throttle, pedal assist, or both.
On mine, you have to hold the + and - buttons for five seconds, click the M button to switch between options, and in number 10 you can select between modes 1, 2, and 3.
