    It would be fine, but maybe a Cyclone3000w would be a lil more powerful without breaking the bank. The real obstacle with the bafang...is the BB width. It comes for 68/73mm...or 100mm bottom brackets...no 83mm option. (edit, looks like ya got a 73mm bb on that year stinky)

    I was WRONG...the 128mmGigaPipe does NOT fit. As suggested it's spindle is not wide enough to clear the motor...weak. The 145mm one might work if I could remove one bearing...but doubtful. Luckily I needed a spare for the Tangent kit, so no money wasted.

    Yes, it WILL work. It is built slightly differently...but functions the same. The outer collars grab the mounting plates well.     I use 10sp, works great :) Even with the stock boat anchor ring...better with the LunaEclipse ring. I'd suggest cheaper cassettes as they are all steel. Higher end aluminum cassettes wear faster.

    ya, some things I would worry about warranty...but I don't want another crappy bb... ...I knew when I bought the kit, it would have some issues to tune up, so I'm not stressed. I'm just sharing to help others watch out for the issues I had :D

    well...it only to took about 50 miles to COMPLETELY roach the bottom bracket that came stock. I was unaware that a BB could be THAT bad...so heavy, and so little function...pssssh. I will be upgrading to a ISIS beefier setup, otherwise all running smooth even in sloppy mud. :D
